Jonathan T. Tucker is the Pastor of New Birth Community Church in New Albany, Mississippi. Pastor Tucker was born and raised in Ripley, MS to Mary Maxine Lockett and Larry Joe Tucker, Sr. He is married to Scherrita LaToya Rutherford Tucker. He is the father of Joshanae, Jonathan II, and Javonn (deceased).

Jonathan is a graduate of Blue Mountain High School in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. His educational path includes attendance at American Baptist College of America Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee; Christian Life School of Theology in Starkville, Mississippi; Blue Mountain College (Biblical Studies) in Blue Mountain, Mississippi; and an honorary Doctorate of Evangelism from Lamp-light International Bible College and Seminary in Pageland, South Carolina.

Pastor Tucker was licensed and ordained at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Ripley, Mississippi under the leadership of the late Pastor G.T. Thompson. He served as Pastor of Greater Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pontotoc, Mississippi for 6 years. He is the founder of New Birth Community Church and has been the pastor since August 2003.
